Oh, the French apéro! Pastis and wine, nibbles, family and friends around the table having a good time: the apéro truly embodies the joie de vivre of Provence. What better way to do so with a good plant-based mocktail, a local glass of bio wine and an array of indulgent plant-based nibbles, e.g. the cauliflower 'doppelgänger" of "oeuf mimosa".

 

Book this workshop when you are looking to dive into the history of the apéro and you want learn how to preprare a variety of succulent plant-based nibbles that you can enjoy on your terrace or in your garden and that you can reproduce later on to impress your neighbours and friends. Picnic en Provence

Exploring the byways to find that wonderful spot to enjoy a good lunch: book this workshop when you are looking to learn how to prepare scrumptious plant-based picnic foods that empower you when walking, biking or when you just love to nibble stretched out on a deck chair. Of course we will find to a wonderful spot close to your place where you can have that magic picnic to enjoy the goodies. Our little Picnic en Provence picnic booklet will ensure you can recreate the picnic to take to one of your secret spots around Provence.

The long languid lunch

A long table shared with family and friends, laughter and filled with food, one course after the other: voilà, the Provence idea of a long languid lunch. The long languid lunch is one of the great pleasures of life in Provence. This workshop starts where the best lunches start: at the market. So make sure you book this workshop when there is a market in your neighbourhood that we can go to to buy the vegetables and fruits needed for our long languid lunch. In your kitchen we’ll turn these ingredients into four scrumptious courses, which will of course be eaten accompanied by different regional organic wines. Book this workshop when you are looking to further immerse yourselves into Provencal food, tradition, and culture and to spend a full day filled with cooking, eating and good conversation. Of course I will be there throughout the lunch to help you serve the different courses on time and at the right temperature.

Preserving en Provence

(5 hour workshop)

 

Book this workshop when you are fascinated by the wonders of a good garlic confit, those sharp and sweet pickled red onions, the magic of mustard and a succluent homemade confiture. Because that is the journey this workshop will take you on, guided by our deep passion and well rounded knowledge on these topics that started around 2009 we accidentally found ourselves on the path of pickling, preserving and fermenting to pass time as broken knees were re-educated. That all got a bit out of hand and by 2015 we found ourselves on national television, delivering to over 40 delicacy stores and peddling delicacy markets with a selection of our pickles. Our Picnic en Provence preserving booklet will enable you to make the art of pickling, jam making and fermentation part of your day-to-day life.
