Welcome to Picnic en Provence – the first whole food plant-based outfit in Provence aiming to inspire and empower each and every one who is interested in exploring a more compassionate lifestyle. We offer cooking workshops for beginners and seasoned cooks, catering services, private cheffing and we produce pickles & ferments, all in the medieval village Viens in Luberon, Provence.

Picnic en Provence delivers plant-based cooking sessions to inspire new and experienced cooks to create delicious plant-based meals at their home. Our cooking sessions will inspire you to find your own way in the plant-based kitchen.

We empower you with traditional cooking skills and nutritional insights as well as sumptuous and easy to make recipes that fit bussy day-to-day lives. So, come along on the journey into compassionate cooking and learn to create a nourishing, sumptuous table with well made food.

Passion for locally sourced, seasonal produce right here in Provence. With that produce we can go a long way: I love to cook French regional cuisine as well as dishes from the various countries we travelled in Asia and in the South Pacific.

Picnic en Provence has a passion for pickling: curing vegetables in salt water and vinegar, with the occassional vegetable based jam sneaking its way into the selection. Our passion for preserving and chutney making was literally born by accident in 2009, when our bodies and spirits need to heal after accidents and surgery. What started as a passtime became a serious passion that got well out of hand and even got us in many magazines and national television in The Netherlands. When we emigrated to France, our pickle passion emigrated with us and we relish it!
